This magnificent antique cottage has lots of room to spread out. Located in Auditorium Park it's large wrap around porch overlooks the park and the bay.
This is one of several cottages we have where the owners continue each year to update and maintain the cottage. Recently they have opened up the ceilings in 2 of the bedrooms, freshly painted them white, added a sky light to the upstairs bathroom and opened the archway leading from the kitchen to the living room. You will feel the love and care that goes into this home while you struggle not to spend your entire vacation on the front porch.
The cottage has a great country kitchen with beamed ceiling, water views, wood floor and a small built in seat near the dining area. The kitchen has many cabinets, double sink and is well equiped for cooking in. A pedestal table with four stools makes a great breakfast area.
The first floor bathroom with standing shower is off the kitchen.
The living room is large with many windows, double entry door, sliding glass door all with wonderful views of the park and nearby Bay. The floors are wide pine in beautiful condition, beamed ceilings, small woodstove, TV/VCR and comfortable furnishings. Access to the porch is right out both double doors allowing fresh ocean air to come through this lovely room.
A staircase leads to a second floor with a common room at the landing with a desk area and a built in seat /bed lounging area. This room has a set of glass French doors that open to the master bedroom with queen bed and two large windows overlooking the Bay and a series of window boxes filled with summer flowers.
To the rear of the cottage, a small half bath leads to another hallway with two more bedrooms ~ ne with a queen bed and the other with 2 twins ( freshly updated - with higher ceiings , bright white paint and new lighting throughout.)
With your stay at the Belfast/Lincolnville Cottage you get a taste of the history of Bayside in a wonderfully cared for space. Roomier than most Bayside cottages there are ample accommodations for six people with lots of room to spread out. The cottage does have central heat for cool nights or off season chilly days. Parking for two vehicles. A wonderful rental in a great location.
