Oriental is a large and lovely three bedroom renovated cottage that overlooks Bayview Park and has terrific water views of Penobscot Bay and Sears Island in the background. Your water access is just a few steps away in Bayview Park .
This home retains much of the charm and history of the typical Bayside cottage. As you enter the side door, you are welcomed by a fabulous eat in kitchen with all the appliances including dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, etc. There are ample cabinets and storage for one week or longer. The kitchen opens to a large and comfortable wrap around living room with wood floors and ceilings warmed by a cast iron gas stove for cozing lounging. The living room has TV/VCR/DVD and a generous number of games and books for entertainment. Off the kitchen is another hallway to a new bathroom with shower and a separate entry from the driveway. A gas grill sits just outside this entry.
A huge wrap around porch with ample furniture is perfect for afternoon cocktails, reading as book or watching the sailboat races on the Bay. Just across the street is Bayview Park which is great for kids to play ball or throw their frisbee. The busier Ruggles Park is also close by.
A good sized open staircase leads you to the upstairs
hallway opening to all three bedrooms and a large bathroom with an antique clawfoot tub. Two of the bedrooms have water views. One has a queen bed with antique furnishings, ceiling fan, whitewash walls and open ceilings. The second waterview room has a king bed, also with fan, cathedral ceiling and antique furnishings. The third bedroom has two twins with open ceilings.
A real bonus feature of this home is an unfinished walk out basement with water views, game room including pool table,
a washer / dryer, and a TV/VCR viewing area with enough furniture to keep the kids and their friends entertained while the adults enjoy the amenities of their own space!
