This fantastic waterfront location is just over a mile from Bayside Village. There are very few waterfront locations on Penobscot Bay with this type of waterfront access. Just a few steps down to the shoreline, you have a gravel stone beach, which provides a great area for swimming, kayaking, beach combing, and lounging. At low tide, this waterfront area is large, at high tide the water’s edge is right at the large covered porch of the cottage.

Features & Floorplan

The covered porch is where you will spend much of your time overlooking the Bay, Turtle Head, Blue Hill and Sears Island.  Fabulous sunrises will get you up early to see this miracle of light rising over the near islands, sometimes outlined with streaks of morning fog.

The property overall is lovely with many perennials, shrubs, grassy areas, a small foot bridge over a stream, and ample parking.  The cottage is located right on Shore Road which is perfect for morning walks or bike rides along the coast.

You enter the cottage from the parking area into the kitchen which is an efficient galley style space with ample counter space, cabinets, double stainless sink, trash compactor, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.  The kitchen is open to the living room/dining area and has great views of the water while you are preparing your meals.

Coming around the kitchen peninsula, you are in the dining area with a table than can open to dine six.  The living area has an old stone fireplace, but an efficient gas cast iron stove has been installed to provide warmth and the glow of a fire.  Windows bring in ample light and open the interior space to the gorgeous views outdoors.  A small nook is opposite the living room which has many bookshelves and comfortable reading/TV area.

A large master bedroom is off the kitchen with a queen bed, lots of closet space and its own private full bath with tub/shower. The sleeping area is in its own nook with double windows overlooking the Bay. This room is private from the rest of the cottage. A smaller second bedroom is off the living room with a double bed and a window with ocean views.

A second sizable bath is off the kitchen with a full shower and washer/dryer.

A bonus to this property is the detached “bunk house” just a few steps away from the main cottage.  This building is perfect for kids as a sleeping area or play space when the weather may keep you inside.  The room has a twin & a double bed and a large window with ocean views.

This property is perfect for a family vacation with a great yard, outstanding water access, two full baths and a great location with easy access to Bayside, Belfast and Camden.
